The Brandon Interagency FAS/FAE Committee Inc. is comprised of agencies and community members sharing a common goal of encouraging and supporting activities in the Westman area for effective intervention of FASD. This includes prevention and public education. Provides an avenue for sharing between agencies identifies gaps and overlaps in services, facilitates and encourages the development of parent/caregiver supports and groups, creates professional development opportunities and acts as an information clearinghouse for the public.  Committee members are available for presentations to agencies or organizations as well as a resource to individuals struggling with concerns.

The committee has been involved with the following: Providing a central resource location at the Brandon Regional Health Centre Library. Middle years school information & awareness kits. Adult resource kit for helpers. Videos & posters. Brandon Directory of Services. Promoting the sharing of information between parents /caregivers through parent information sessions. Organizing annual community activities for September 9th National FASD Awareness Day.
