Westman Immigrant Services is a non-profit organization that supports the the integration of immigrants into Canadian society through settlement, employment assistance and English language training as needed.

Programs

English as an Additional Language (EAL) classes from Foundations level to Canadian Language Benchmark 6. Daytime and evening classes available. Employment focused EAL programs as needed.  Settlement assistance provides individual support for all settlement needs. Employment assistance for short term and long term career and education planning.

Volunteer settlement partners for added support in adjusting to life in Brandon. English as an Additional Language (EAL) classes.

Eligibility for Programs
All programs are free for landed immigrants. EAL and settlement services are also free for Provincial Nominee approved clients.

Services
English as an Additional Language (EAL) classes. Information/orientation about life in Canada and Brandon. Information about health care, education, banking, the law, shopping, employment, etc. Help finding community services such as doctors, dentists, lawyers, etc. Help filling out forms for Manitoba Health Card, SIN, Child Tax Benefit, travel documents, citizenship, permanent resident cards, Interim Federal Health Documents, etc. Employment assistance. Advocacy to support individual needs. Support, information, and assistance concerning immigration issues. Family sponsorship information. Liaison and resource for the community regarding issues that concern immigrants.

How to Access the Services

Make an appointment with a settlement intake worker or walk in during office hours.

Free to landed immigrants.

Monday-Thursday 9:00 am-5:00 pm
Friday-Saturday 9:00 am-4:30 pm
