The Community Mental Health Program is a health service of the Brandon Regional Health Authority (RHA) that provides assessment and counselling for voluntary clients. There is no cost for this program.
Programs

Individual counselling. Resource coordination. Some group programming.
Program Components

Program has staff with the following professional training. Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, Psychology and Psychiatry.
Eligibility for Programs
Anyone who is 18 years or older. Resident of the Brandon RHA. Mental or emotional health related problems such as depression, anxiety, stress and coping and adjustment difficulties. Those who do not have private insurance or Employment Assistance Program benefits.

How to Access the Programs

A referral to Community Mental Health Services can be provided by any source but must be made with the knowledge and consent of the person being referred. A scheduled appointment is the preferred method of referral, although staff can assist clients who present themselves with urgent circumstances.

Anyone 18 years or older. Resident of the Brandon RHA. Mental or emotional health related problems such as depression, anxiety, stress & coping, and adjustment difficulties.
How to Access the Services A referral to Community Mental Health Services can be provided by any source but must be made with the knowledge and consent of the person being referred. Referrals can be made in writing, by telephone, and by walk-in (for urgent situations). Referrals are received from clients themselves, physicians, family members, and Social Service Agencies.

A scheduled appointment is the preferred method of referral although staff can assist clients who present themselves with urgent circumstances.
